Your area of work:
We are looking for a JAVA software developer to join the Clearstream Investment Funds development team (CFS) to work on a order routing application. The application is in production since 2005 and is currently undergoing partial redesign and complete modernization. It is Java application originally built in J2EE using EJBs, but now being migrated to Spring with GUI developed in Angular (12+) using npm and TypeScript. The application is running over Oracle database. The main purpose of the application is to make sure the order from customer reach the fund issuer and vice versa for messages from the latter. The communication with other systems is handled via OAQs or direct REST API calls.
However, the position is not 100% fixed to single application after current project as we are developing 4 applications for CFS in Prague within the same team.
We use Git, JIRA, Maven and Liquibase to support our SCRUM development and Jenkins, Sonar, Junit, Playwright and Cucumber tests in our integration.
Your responsibilities:
- Working in international multilocation environment
- Design and development of the CFS application(s) using Java and various frameworks
- Analysis of business requirements and implementing them into the application(s)
- Application(s) maintenance, improvements and production support
Your profile:
- You are studying Technical University (CTU, UK MFF)
- You love efficiency, hate manual tasks, and look for creative ways to automate
- You have experience with Java development
- You are able to work in a cross-location international team
- You are team player with good communication skills, highly motivated and flexible
- You have proficiency in written and spoken English
Would be an advantage
- Practical experience with development of standard & enterprise Java applications
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience with Spring (Framework, Boot, Security, Data, Integration)
- A background in financial markets, clearing or banking
Contract type: Agreement on Work activities (in Czech: Dohoda o pracovni cinnosti)
Working time/ hours: up to 20 hours per week
