Junior Portfolio Controls Analyst

As a Barclays Junior Portfolio Control Analyst, you’ll be a member of BI Portfolio Controls Team. You’ll ensure that initiatives are set up correctly on the group-wide toolset and managing projects through the lifecycle, including the transition between stage gates, monitoring compliance with control requirements, and advising PMs on how to operate within the Bank’s control environment. You will be working with internal stakeholders – Project Portfolio Managers to embed accurate data and correct use of tools, ensuring quality & consistency.

What will you be doing?
  • Doing resource management - owning the resource tracking process in PPM tool, coordinating resource request approvals, running JML resource pool allocation process
  • Assigning user permissions, providing guidance on resource management related activities
  • Monitoring compliance - validating adherence to standards incl. outcome closures, benefit validations, RAIDs management, change control, project, etc
  • Maintaining data quality – the portfolio records in the group wide toolset ensuring that data is accurate
  • Providing governance support – actively and proactively support senior team members, help with weekly and ad-hoc reports, maintain documents repository etc
  • Making continuous improvements - supporting improvement activities and help with identifying areas for development that can improve efficiency and effectiveness


What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience of working in a PMO
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Customer oriented mindset with strong focus on problem solving
  • A quick learner with high attention to detail


Skills that will help you in the role:
  • PRINCE2 Foundation certification
  • Ability to see bigger picture, consider broader implications

Our Prague office is based in the financial center of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game. However, the technology itself is not the most important thing.
